I think I have a problem. (Now to some of you this may not come as a surprise but more as stating the obvious) - However, this morning I had to face the truth, I have an addiction to Rolling up the Rim. At 9:17, when I rolled up my rim to find another irritatingly polite shut down 'Please Play Again' - I couldn't take it anymore; the constant rejection got to me and I literally shouted 'I drink enough of this stuff to deserve a RAV4 and they can't even give me a freakin' cookie.'
Now it never occurred to me that I was causing a great amount of a commotion until I turned to see Pastor Barry, our senior Pastor and Donna our secretary peering cautiously towards my open door. (Note to self if ever feel the need to shout in utter desperation and frustration - shut office door). I just need a RAV4, I would graciously take the $1000, but lets be honest I'm in it for the vehicle.
That is how twistedly selfish I am - forget that in a month my daily (now 3 time daily coffees) could support the health and education of a child for an entire month - possibly two. OK three! I need a RAV4 - sometimes I disgust myself.
Aside from that self-realization I preached on Sunday. Preaching always humbles me to the lowest level - I guess that is one of the reason I love it so much. I preached on the importance of scheduling our lives around the priority of God and His desires for us, rather than simply scheduling Him in. It was good but I need to seriously re-evaluate my time. Preaching teaches me one thing - I am a walking talking hypocrite. But I am aware of it, does that count for something?
It's nice to a have God give us reality checks...Usually I need a reality beating but hey, each to their own.

dang erica...i actually can hear you spewing that line...i CAN HEAR YOU IN MY HEAD!!! well...shoot , that's really not that far off from normal now is it? : ) haha...you should be drinking starbucks anyway...support the christian brethern that work there...ahem...me....: ) but if you do get the whatever car it is...can i borrow it once in a while?
Really I just want the TV, I couldn't afford to keep a new SUV sport on the road... but a 50 inch TV, now that I could live with... I'm now 0/3 (the closest tims is half an hour away other wise I'd be doing three a day) Well just wanted to wish you luck... but not too much luck, 'cause I want to win one of those prizes.
See the point of the RAV4 is not to drive it - because with me that is just a roll over waiting to happen. But to sell it and pay those oh so wonderful student loans....
So Betty you won't be able to drive it when I win, and if I win the TV its all yours Nathan - big TVs aren't my thing. Though my dad may have something to say about that....
Ok, what if you win coffee and donuts for two, can I get in on that...just kidding Erica, it's very encouraging to see your honesty on this blog...isn't introspection such a fun thing to do?
Hey, I'll take you up on the tv... and as far as family division... I think it says something about fathers turning against daughters in the Bible... so giving me the tv WOULD be the biblical thing... and I'll tell you what, I'll even send a nice thank you cheque your way... how does thirty cents sound?

I have to weigh in here - Colleen just showed me your site Erica and how could I not chastise you for not taking homiletics.... right on pastor! You've hit the nail on the head with the RAV and the humility issues. Keep on blogging... does Jesus read our blogs too? And how come my son gets to have his picture show up all over the web...
